The objectives of this organization shall be to:  

• Encourage and promote mutual assistance between all paid professional firefighters and associated services which are affiliated with the International Association of Fire Fighters.
• Inform and educate its members in order to place them on a higher plane of professionalism, thereby, enhancing their skill and efficiency.
• Cultivate and develop unity, friendship and fellowship among its members.
• Sponsor, promote and protect all forms of Legislation advancing the interests and welfare of its members, together with strong and continual support for adequate fire and emergency services within the State of Florida.

This Association shall have a Political Action Program so as to be involved politically in order to improve the professional status of the Fire and Emergency Services. The FPF also shall offer to teach, instruct and assist its members in advancing their profession by political involvement at all levels of government.

The FPF shall be a Service Organization. Service to IAFF affiliates and potential affiliates shall be defined as, but not limited to, the following:

• Governmental Relations Advocate
• Political Action Coordination
• To continue prior and existing services to the FPF members
• Provide support and assistance to the IAFF regarding its goals and objectives as outlined in the preamble of the IAFF's Constitution and By-Laws.
